drupaltag up!Consistent viewers of this blog, who are countable on no fists, will notice that there is a huge block of pointless, meandering words and phrases now on the left column. These are all the tags used by this site. What are tags? Well, they're relevant keywords or phrases I've attached to each article. Sometimes they're like categories, as in good name for a band, and sometimes they're reference points, like img (attached to any post that contains an image of any kind). I finally took the relatively simple step of moving the database retrieval code from the tags page to the block on the left. It was ridiculously simple... I thought it was going to be much more complicated and error-prone. Go Drupal! Still not disappointing, after so many months! themed!It sure is ugly... but I LOVE it! As you can see, I've tricked out my drupal instance a bit. Little bit of day-glo here and there turn a man blind faster than... well, we'll leave it at just "faster." If we have too many detached retinas from this, I'll adjust the coloration to something a bit less clashing. movin' on!Well, after much half-assed hacking, researching, help-asking, and the like, I have come to the unavoidable conclusion that I've outgrown wordpress. Various blows struck to our relationship included numerous post-midnight hacks to the theme, the code, the style sheets, the images, all which have become very difficult to recover from; various supporting software upgrades; raw data hacking; and the refusal of the wordpress community to read my mind and divine what I want for free from their system.
